Variation on Wordle: Wordsift

This also produces wordclouds but then check out the other associated visual tools. Just click on one of the sample texts and then SIFT. Note the visual thesaurus allows you to click on a word within the cloud and there is an immediate search on Google images too. Chunks of text where the KWIC occurs are displayed too.
What I realise though is this clearly explores single word units ie the notion of the lexical chunk is not accounted for. Very interesting, though, is they provide a note of the theory behind the tool!  http://www.wordsift.com/site/theory

Embedding Wordles

When you publish a Wordle you can copy an embed code to add it to your posting. Could be useful when creating a teacher blog or indeed to get learners to share their clouds.
